StartingUp Now is a curriculum-based learning system for entrepreneurs who are starting or running a business. We had the pleasure of creating the identity and it's expanding evolution.
In the beginning the "Key" was the first brand icon. With care, we convinced the owner, a proprietary brand icon would be a better way to go, thus the "SU" icon was born. A slew of materials were created for trade shows, workshops, classroom instruction, website development and social media awareness campaigns.
As the business expanded, the 'key' icon was dropped and brand took on a more professional tone. SUNTALKS, the first podcast offering created a shift in brand identity. It was here the "SU" icon morphed giving StartingUp Now "SUN" as a new brand identifier.
Under the new identity, "Lead To Change." was born— a series of workshops directed at community leaders and educators to adopt entrepreneurship training for the previously incarcerated.
SUN Suite is StartingUp Now's mobile app business tool. We created a brand within the brand to include all the offerings under one umbrella. It was a fun to create the design for the apps and the developers were great with incorporating the brand flavor throughout the site.
The SUN Business Simulation Game was a new one for us but a really cool experience. We had an interesting, wild, crazy time designing and producing the game case and all the interior pieces. Playing the actual game was hysterical!
The case was constructed with padding to hold all of the game pieces securely with an adjustable outter strap for easy travel.
The game consisted of several elements. Environments, store items and money were created to promote activities amoung the players.
An extensive set of "LifeCards" were developed, along with a spinning wheel questioning "Will They Pay?" to give players a few real-life curve balls throughout the game.
Keeping track of expenses and finding sources of income is all part of the game. Each team recieves a full color-coded set of laminated forms to use for record keeping.
We included a Facilitators Guide complete with game instructions and a room diagram for 5 teams giving anyone a clear plan for set up.
